Founded by Cristóbal Balenciaga[1]. It is owned by Gucci, a subsidiary of French Kering Group. Balenciaga is known for its exacting standards and was called "the master of us all" by Christian Dior. His bubble skirts and quirky, "modernist silhouettes" became a hallmark of the brand.
